Volunteer Involvement – 2022 Undergraduate Research Symposium

The Undergraduate Research Symposium Planning Committee invites you to serve as a volunteer for the 12th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday, May 26. This year, we will host the symposium in a hybrid model, with some presenters participating in-person and some in a virtual format.
To honor the original research and creative work of our students, the Symposium strives to frame the environment of an academic conference, and the role of the volunteer plays an integral part in this endeavor. The 2022 Symposium will host several hundred presenters, distributed across a wide variety of academic disciplines.

In-person

Moderator- introducing each panelist, facilitating the presentation flow, and Q & A discussion.

Day Of Involvement - the variety of activities include set-up, staffing the presenter check-in table, guiding attendees to locations, poster session guide, event break-down, etc.
Virtual

This year, all virtual presentations will be in Zoom webinar format, with all sessions recorded and posted to the Symposium YouTube channel after the event. The committee aims for two volunteers per Zoom presentation session.
