Indigenous, Race and Ethnic Studies (IRES) Award

AWARD DETAILS

The Department of Indigenous, Race and Ethnic Studies will recognize outstanding research and creative work in projects focused on the study of ethnicity, race, and indigeneity, connected to issues of gender, class, sexuality, migration, indigeneity, and colonialism. Projects should highlight the perspectives and experiences of people of color related to social justice, identity and resistance. Two $200 awards and one $100 award for honorable mentions will be presented. Presentations may be delivered in any format.

Award specific Eligibility criteria

  • Projects must focus on study of ethnicity, race, and indigeneity connected to issues of gender, class, sexuality, migration, and colonialism ​​
