Filmmaking Award

The Filmmaking Award, sponsored by the Undergraduate Research Symposium in collaboration with the Department of Cinema Studies, Ducks After Dark, and UO Presents, seeks to recognize student projects in the broad, interdisciplinary field of Filmmaking. 

Eligibility Criteria: Current UO undergraduate student conducting research and presenting in the Film Screening Format. Shows conceptual and executional strengths in subject matter, theme, story, and style; Utilizes filmmaking techniques to the use of the project (not simply recording of a stage performance for example); .mov or .mp4 files, minimum 1920x1080p Full HD Resolution.  Film Screening presentations should be between 3 minutes and 30 minutes in length total, including a brief introduction about your submission (either in person or recorded).

Award Amounts: One (1) $300 Grand Prize Award; One (1) $150 Award; One (1) $50 Audience Pick Award.
