Black Culture and Identity Award

The Black Culture and Identity Award, sponsored by the Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center, the Black Studies Academic Program, and the Division of Undergraduate Education and Student Success, seeks to recognize students who have a Black Culture and/or Identity focus to their research, performance, etc. Specifically, we desire to see projects that personify the nuanced, celebratory, and/or complexity of Black identity. Eligibility Criteria: Projects can range from academic research to performance art. The essence of Black culture and identity should be an integral part of the project presented. Award Amounts: One (1) $250 Award and One (1) $150 Award for Oral Presentation and/or Performance; One (1) $100 Award for Poster Presentation.
